About Those Randy Orton Shower Pics...; Raw Ratings; ECW Added To Survivor Series; Latest WWE / NBC Venture

I'm getting alot of emails about an article floating around the net claiming 'Randy Orton' shower pics have surfaced. For those who are real Orton fans, you already are aware of this. But for those aren't, the pics floating around the net have been around for well over a year. It's just that a certain spyware news site thought they were new - and probably exciting.

Many homosexual and female blogs have had them posted for a while. Fitness blogs have joked at the misproportioned leg muscles. For Davey, well I'm sure he had a very special - and private moment last night when he saw them. My personal opinion, they just make me believe even more he's the main reason why WWE recently tweaked their Wellness Program.

Raw for 9/18 scored a 3.7 rating off of hours 3.5 and 3.9. That is slightly up from last week's 3.6 rating.

Speaking of Raw ratings, amongst the top rated shows on basic cable last week, the 9/11 edition of Raw was ranked #4 for hour two, and #6 for hour one.

Multichannel News posted the following article regarding the lastest WWE / NBC business project. This one circles around WWE Cyber Sunday PPV, which is basically the Sunday version of Taboo Tuesday.

Here's the article:

NBC Universal On Demand and World Wrestling Entertainment want to help cable operators pin down more subscribers for video-on-demand and pay-per-view services, so they are joining forces with a new sales promotion.

Starting Nov. 5, consumers can buy the WWE interactive PPV Cyber Sunday event, and starting Oct. 26, Universal flick The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift on either PPV or VOD. If viewers order both and send in their bills showing proof of purchase by Nov. 23, they will get limited-edition car-kit gift packs.

Fans can also go to WWE’s Web site (www.wwe.com) and vote to determine which wrestling stars should face off and what the match rules should be for the Nov. 5 Cyber Sunday event.

In addition, from Oct. 26-Feb. 28, customers can go online (www.highspeedstakes.com) and enter the HighSpeedstakes for a chance to win a driving-school session with a WWE Superstar. The sweepstakes Web site will also feature footage from the Fast and Furious sequel movie and a link to vote for Cyber Sunday.

"We are thrilled to partner with WWE to create an integrated campaign that not only will increase on-demand and pay-per-view buys, but will also attract subscribers to operators' digital-broadband offerings," said Stacy Melle, NBC U Cable’s vice president of on-demand marketing.

Even though theyve been 'Extremely' uninteresting, I do agree with WWE's decision adding ECW to Survivor Series. Here's the article posted on WWE.com earlier today:

After last year’s Survivor Series featured a battle of the brands in a Classic Survivor Series Match between Team SmackDown and Team RAW, did you really think that the annual Thanksgiving season pay-per-view would roll around again without ECW trying to crash the party? Yea, we didn’t either. So it came as no surprise when WWE.com was informed that the ECW Extremists will be looking for their piece of the action in Philadelphia on November 26.

The details of ECW’s involvement in Survivor Series are still unclear, but we do know for certain that the Extremists will be in the building and that it will be RAW vs. SmackDown vs. ECW when the second longest running pay-per-view in WWE history celebrates its 20th anniversary. Will we still see a Classic Survivor Series elimination tag match, or will the involvement of a third brand bring about a new type of match stipulation?

The Extremists will be hoping to shake up the landscape of one of the biggest and most popular pay-per-views in WWE. Survivor Series has been the setting for many a classic WWE moment, and Paul Heyman’s extreme cult will storm into the Wachovia Center looking to replace WWE fans’ Survivor Series memories of Sharpshooters and Big Boots with tables, chairs and high-risk stunts.

They will have their work cut out for them, as Survivor Series 1997 is, even nine years later, one of the most talked about events in WWE history. That event is, of course, the infamous “Montreal Screwjob,” in which Bret Hart was cheated out of the WWE Championship when Mr. McMahon forced the timekeeper to “Ring the f***ing bell!”

The addition of ECW to the Survivor Series roster provides a wealth of excitement and unpredictability, but it will certainly not be the first big debut at the November pay-per-view. Kurt Angle, Undertaker and The Rock all got their first taste of WWE Superstardom at Survivor Series, and in 2002, WWE fans witnessed the type of carnage that the Extremists will hope to bring to Surivor Series with the unveiling of the Elimination Chamber.
