Crying Is No Longer Studly: The Assassin Bites His Tongue On WWE Firing Of Bill Demott
If you heard last Monday's Minority Report webcast, we were joking heavily at The Avenger err The Assassin Jody Hamilton who owns Deep South Wrestling. The subject for the laughter was at his comments made on his blog towards the release of DSW trainer Bill Demott by WWE.
We may have some new material for tomorrow's show, because The Avenger chose to write over his original blog comments that spurred the laughter.
Below is his original statement, which caused the commotion. I highlighted the areas that originally caught our eye.
"WWE has released Bill DeMott, this comes as a shock to everyone at Deep South Wrestling. I love Bill DeMott as if he were my own son. Everyone needs to know, Deep South Wrestling played no part in his release. On behalf of everyone here at DSW, I want Bill, and everyone to know that I will always be his friend and biggest supporter. I don't understand why this happened and the reasons I have been given as to why it happened don't hold water.
This has been a gut-wrenching weekend for both me and my poor wife who is still crying over this. If having the ability to shed tears is the sign of a real man, then I guess I am one (HELLUVA) stud.
It will take us a while to go through an adjustment period with Dr. Tom Pritchard as the new trainer, I have known Tom for years and Tom had nothing to do with Bill's release, and I know Tom is an excellent trainer so the kids here won't be lacking in quality training.
I want to thank Bill Demott from the bottom of my heart for everything he did for me and for the kids training here and for DSW. Bill you are always welcome at DSW. Good Luck and God Bless You!"
I guess crying isn't such a studly thing to him afterall. Not to mention the 'excuse didn't hold water' comment either. I guess the true studs over at WWE must have put him in his place because that blog has now vanished. His new comments?
I want to thank Bill DeMott and his lovely wife Lacy for everything they did, not only for me personally buy everything they have done for DSW. I want Bill to know that I like and respect him as much as I have ever liked and respected anyone, I hope that our personal friendship will continue no matter where Bill is or what he does and we hope nothing but the very best life has to offer for Bill and Lacy.Thanks for everything, we all love ya!"
Is The Avenger err Assassin an early candidate this week's edition of OWNED? We'll see how the week progresses.
I guess you're not that studly after all there Assassin. A true stud stands behind his words. He's allowed to apologize for them, but not erase and try to pretend they were never said. Especially when you wanted the World to read it. Problem is the World (as in World Wrestling Entertainment) did and likely put you in your place.
