CT Officials Cancel Tonight's TNA Event; Police On Scene Hint WWE 'Pressure'; Details Inside

Thank God I don't live in CT. Expect a lawsuit in the near future based on what the Jackass CT officials did to TNA's event. If you haven't heard, the TNA show in CT was cancelled today because of building code violations. One that is being reported was an Exit Sign with a crack in the lens. Yep a crack in the lens. There's also a claim that TNA did not have the proper building permits which we are looking into.
Police were called since hundreds of fans were almost to the point of a riot. I don't blame them at all. Interesting are some of the messages we are receiving on the hotline from fans at the building. Three different calls claim that Police are telling people that since WWE HQ are in CT, they pressured CT officials to find any reason to cancel the show. Another hotline caller who lives in the area stated that there was 'buzz' going around the last few days that officials would do this as a subtle gesture to WWE for all they have done for the State Of CT. Another call said that officials were 'doing the right thing' for WWE.
Another call stated that there was an arguement over insufficient emergency exits in the venue for the number of fans attending (from the original venue). Even though a compromise of less fans in the building would sound like a fix to that problem, CT officials refused which makes no sense.
Remember these are calls coming in to us on the matter. We are working on verifying the above. I do find it interesting so many similar claims are coming in about what happened.
Of course WWE will deny any involvement at all. They have to deny it. They're a publicly traded company and would never dare admit to illicit activity like this. What do you think Gary Davis would just go public and say WWE was behind it? Please.
CT officials will deny it too claiming they were just 'doing their job'.
I've heard alot of stories about the CT officials who are better suited at serving burgers and cleaning toilets. This is going to get interesting very quick.
TNA is on hand with camera filming the entire incident. I wouldn't be surprised if CT officials threatened TNA with suits if they aired 'footage' of what went down.
TNA issued the following statement as well:
TNAwrestling.com has learned that due to reasons beyond TNA’s control, tonight’s show in Bloomfield, Connecticut, has been canceled.
The situation is still ongoing at the arena, as just a few hours ago police and local officials arrived without prior notification to inform TNA of their decision to cancel the show.
TNA representatives are still attempting to clarify from those same officials the reasoning behind the cancellation of tonight’s event.
TNA Wrestling would like to apologize to our loyal fans in Connecticut for these unforeseen circumstances. We are equally disheartened that we will be unable to entertain our fans.
TNAwrestling.com will have an update on the situation as we receive more details, including information on ticket reimbursement.
I will say this. Although the above smells like sh**, don't point fingers at anyone until facts come out.
I will say this though. I seriously doubt TNA would film the incident for TV and their fans, if they were the ones that fu**ed up. More on this during Monday's 'Minority Report' webcast.
