ECW PPV Poster Ripoff Of 80's Horror Flick; Thousands Attend Hogan Signing; WWE / ECW Preview; Goldberg / Spike TV Press Release

I knew the ECW December To Dismember PPV poster seemed very familiar in look. Special thanks to Joe T for sending me the above. As you can see, the poster is a takeoff of the 80's Horror Film 'Silent Night, Deadly Night' art. Now the question is will we consider the ECW PPV a horror as well?

Here is your ECW preview for tonight courtesy of WWE.com:

On the last ECW on Sci Fi, Paul Heyman rocked the sports-entertainment world when he declared Rob Van Dam's shot at the ECW World Title at December to Dismember will take place in the first-ever Extreme Elimination Chamber Match. This week, Heyman will make yet another startling announcement regarding the final chamber spot on Dec. 3. What would Heyman declare that will effect not just ECW, but all WWE brands?

ECW's "Messiah" will also provide details regarding the main event of Tuesday's edition of ECW on Sci Fi - a program that is already jam-packed with extreme, hardcore action. What more could Heyman bring to ECW fans on Tuesday night?

As ECW fans learned in the latest entry of Punk's Blog, the straight-edge Extremist accepted Mike Knox's challenge to a one-on-one encounter. Not only will pride be on the line when these men face, but the winner will also earn a chance at winning the ECW World Title. The winner will become the fourth Extremist in the Extreme Elimination Chamber.

Yet another spot for December to Dismember's main event will be also filled on the next ECW on Sci Fi, as well, as Test is set to take on ECW Original Tommy Dreamer. The first of four qualifying matches for the other Extreme Elimination Chamber competitors has already taken place and Sabu proved to be victorious over Kevin Thorn on the vampire enthusiast's favorite holiday. Who will qualify this week?

The man who has been slated for an ECW World Title opportunity all along, RVD, had a rough night last week. Heyman was up to monkey business as usual and got the better of Van Dam in RVD's tag team match. How will RVD respond to Heyman's tactics? Following a tremendous display of size, strength and dominance at Cyber Sunday, what will Big Show's next steps be as he continues his reign?

Also on ECW on Sci Fi, Daivari and the Great Khali shook up the ECW roster when they made their presence felt. Will the Punjabi Warrior and his loud-mouthed associate take over their new brand?

Find out the answers to all of these questions and more on ECW on Sci Fi at 10/9 CT.

Although we already covered this on the website, the following Reuters Press Release makes it official for Goldberg's new venture on Spike TV:

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Wrestling icon Bill Goldberg has signed on to host the Spike TV series "Bullrun," set to premiere in the spring.

"Bullrun," based on the international automotive rally, features 12 teams of two drivers who use their own cars in a rally that takes them across America in a competition for prize money and the 2007 Bullrun Trophy.

"These Bullrun contestants better bring the same intensity, passion, and love for cars that I have, or they are going to be left in the dust," said Goldberg, a former WWE and WCW World Heavyweight wrestling champion who left the ring in 2004 to pursue acting.

His credits include the film "The Longest Yard" and CBS' "Yes, Dear."

The Olympian (WA) posted the following recap of Hulk & Brooke Hogan's recent autograph signing which drew over 2000:

Hogan family invades Hawks Prairie Wal-Mart

LACEY - Saturday was Daniel Smith's first day working as a sales associate at Wal-Mart in Lacey. It also was the day singer Brooke Hogan appeared at the store to meet fans and sign autographs with her father, wrestler Hulk Hogan.

"It's been pretty hectic all day," said Smith, who was assigned to control part of the line that snaked throughout the super center.

Fans began arriving at 10 a.m. to get in line for the autograph signing, which was scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., store co-manager Lloyd Priest said. Lacey police cadets and three full-time officers handled security for the event, Priest said.

By 4 p.m., an estimated 600 people had gone through the line to meet the Hogans, said Jesse DeJong, merchandiser for Anderson Merchandising, a Wal-Mart music supplier.

Some sat on the floor, while others sat in chairs. Some listened to iPods, while others chatted on cell phones or with their companions.

The turnout is "about average for an artist that's just breaking out," DeJong said.
As many as 2,000 people attended the event throughout the afternoon, Priest estimated.

Brooke Hogan, 18, expressed surprise at the turnout.

"It's really cool to see that all the fans are coming to support me," she said. "I'm really excited that the album's out and it's doing good, so I couldn't hope for better."

The young singer had never been to Lacey before.

"It's really, really cool to know that fans are everywhere, they aren't just where I live," she said. "They're everywhere in the whole world and they're supporting me."
Lacey youths Kara Molinelli, 13, and Sarah Lizee, 12, have been listening to Hogan since her single, "About Us" with Paul Wall, was released this summer. And they both like the Hogan family's reality show, "Hogan Knows Best."

Along with Hogan's music, both girls like her as a person, they said.

"I like her personality a lot," Kara explained. "She's, like, a really cool person and everything."

"She's really, like, down to earth," Sarah added.

Hulkamaniacs

Not everyone came to see Brooke Hogan, though.

John D'Elena drove from Seattle with his girlfriend, Rosanna Ongoco, to see Hulk Hogan. D'Elena has been a fan of Hulk's since he was 2 years old.

"He does everything. He's the man," D'Elena said. "He put wrestling on the map."
Lacey resident Frank Sachs also came to meet Hulk. A Hulkamaniac since a young kid, the 27-year-old got his T-shirt signed and plans to hang it on his wall, he said.

Brooke Hogan's debut CD, titled "Undiscovered," hit stores Oct. 24. The album is No. 28 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and No. 1 on Billboard's Top Independent Albums chart, said T.J. Miller, vice president of sales for SoBe Entertainment. "That's great for a new artist."

Hogan hopes to do another album soon. She wrote four songs for "Undiscovered" and wants to write more for the next, she said.

Visiting the Post

The Hogans were at the Fort Lewis Post Exchange on Friday, where they greeted approximately 2,000 fans.

Hogan described her visit to the military base as a life-changing experience.

"You think you're tired from the road, but you have no idea what these people are going through," Brooke Hogan said. "It definitely put things in perspective."

Today, the Hogans will be in Portland promoting her album. They'll return home to Tampa, Fla., in a week, then hit the road four days later for another promotional tour.
