ECW Rating & Article On Ratings Decline; WWF On MSG Delayed; Freakin DeaKANE RIP; WWE Tryouts
ECW on the Sci-Fi channel scored a 2.15 rating this week, down from last week's 2.2.
Interesting how some PWSpyware geeks blamed the ratings drop last week on the NBA Playoffs. Unless there's a Game 11 going on last night for the NBA Finals, you wonder the drop last week and this week is due to the product just doesn't have 'it' as a must see program?
You have to go to non wrestling websites to get a fair look at the ratings decline the last 2 weeks. And the mainstream media took notice of the decline.
Medialife posted a blurb about last week's ECW citing that it lost 500,000 viewers from the prior week.

Dave Meltzer reports that the 'Fake Kane' is done. The angle and gimmick are over. Go to the Wrestling Observer website and read some great analysis by Meltzer on where this ranks amongst bad gimmicks / storylines in recent memory.
The classic WWE series on MSG has been delayed one week to 7/12/06. We will post all the airings here on the site in the upcoming days.
The following press release was issued Tuesday evening:

A total of 25-50 applicants will be chosen from those preliminary tryouts and will advance to an exclusive tryout with WWE Agents and Talent Relations Scouts on Saturday, August 19th at the Chaotic Training Center in North Andover, MA.
