Exclusive Konnan Update: Kidney Transplant Next Week; Audio Interview On TNA Situation Coming

There have been reports going around that Konnan has left TNA. Those rumors are true. Alex Marvez wrote an excellent interview / article last week which discusses several issues that ultimately led up to Konnan's exit from TNA.

I spoke with Konnan on Saturday and we will be conducting an audio interview with him shortly. There's quite a bit of positive news regarding his health we'd like to address. Unfortunately though, there are several issues that the wrestling world is unaware about the TNA situation. One in particular that, to say it bluntly, really pissed me off. I think a majority of you will be as well.
Plus I will finally vent and address the question hundreds of wrestling fans have asked me since January. 'Why hasn't TNA plugged the donation drive or even assisted?' I have held in that response and been quite politically correct about the issue for 6 months. I will finally address that issue which will surprise many.
Here's a brief update on Konnan's health. He is off crutches from the hip replacement surgery. He walks with a limp but he is getting stronger. Konnan continues the kidney dialysis and is now preparing for the surgery which is scheduled for next week.
Konnan has two donors why are ready to complete the surgery. This Wednesday, a donor from Pennsylvania will be flying in and undergoing tests with Konnan's physicians. Providing no medical issues are discovered from those tests, the surgery will take place July 2, 2007. If any medical issues arise from that donor, another individual is standing by as well.
We will post another update shortly. Keep Konnan in your thoughts and prayers as the most difficult step with his medical issues is about to happen. Myself and Georgiann Makropoulos continue to thank every single one of you that has helped Konnan.
