Smackdown drew a 2.6 rating Thursday night.  That number is lower than average even if you factor in all the pre-emtions (It was down 24% from last week, but preemptions were 17.3%).  The MTV Video Music Awards also played a major factor in the rating decline as well.  The final number will be out sometime early next week when all the pre-emptions have been figured in.

Jerry Lawler wrestled last night in a tag match teaming with Shawn Michaels against Ric Flair & HHH at the Memphis house show.  Jerry is from Memphis so WWE decided to put him in a 'home-town' match.  Lawler often works the indy circuit when his WWE schedule allows him to do so.

The Off The Record show this Monday night will be a brand new show with Mick Foley.  The show was taped last Monday when Foley was in Toronto on his book tour.  Pretty good show from what we've heard.

Lillian Garcia sang the national anthem Thursday night before the U.S. Open tennis matches at Forest Hills.  She was identified by the announcers as someone who 'sang the national anthem at sporting shows around the world'.  No mention of WWE.
