Hulk & Brooke Hogan In Cali; South Africa Lawsuit Over WWE 'God' Angle; ECW At Raw Monday; 5Q With The Hulkster; Video Clip Holly's Stiches Online

Hulk Hogan and daughter Brooke were in California Wednesday at Clemson for a summer concert. Brooke did perform and all reports from the show give the performance a Thumbs Up.

ECW has been added to this Monday's Raw and will be taped for Tuesday airing on Sci-Fi. Those planning on attending Raw in Topeka Monday, the start time for the event as changed. The show will now start at 6:30PM (local time) instead of 7PM.

The Sporting News conducted a brief Q&A with Hulk Hogan this past weekend at the NASCAR event in Dover. Here's the article:

Q: How would you compare racing to wrestling?
A: "Being around my daughter right now, the music business makes me feel like I'm either at a wrestling match or a racetrack because of the energy. What most people don't realize is depending on the energy that comes from the wrestling crowd or the racetrack or the people when my daughter sings, it makes you perform better. Those are the similarities I see. The more hyped-up the fans are, the more they're into the racing or the music."

Q: What makes you so popular after all these years?
A: "It's like these drivers - some of these guys come and go in a short period of time, but the families like the Earnhardts and the Pettys and the people who have this in their blood, second and third generation drivers and wrestlers - I just had this in my blood, and no matter how bad I got hurt or what happened in my life, business or personal, I just stuck with it."

Q: What's the biggest difference between wrestling today and when you were in it?
A: "It's a different breed of wrestlers. When I was wrestling, we'd go sell out Madison Square Garden and then we'd go to the bar at the Marriott and tear it down. Nowadays these guys go up to their rooms and play Nintendo."

Q: Wrestling has their good guys and their bad guys. If you were a racecar driver, would you be the bad guy or the good guy?
A: "I'd like to be a bad guy out there because I've watched 'Talladega Nights.' I know it's not even close to what these guys do out here, but the bad guys are kind of more entertaining because they stir the pot more."

Q: If you could choose a driver as a tag-team partner, who would it be?
A: "I've watched these guys have the attitude out there, and I love Tony Stewart's attitude. So I'd love to have Tony as my partner."

Remember the WWE 'God' angle? Here in the United States, we treated the angle as stupid and disrespectful.

Care to read how television in South Africa reacted towards the angle? Not only has Vince been labeled as blasphemus, but a lawsuit had been filed against the TV network that aired the PPV match.

Just a tidbit. And I know some pwspyware geek will make a big deal out of this. But the article mistakes HBK's as 'John' instead of 'Shawn'.

Bob Holly needed 24 stitches in his back following the ECW event Tuesday night. He was sliced open from a table used during his match against Rob Van Dam. Holly received a standing ovation from the crowd following the match.

WWE.com has video posted of Holly getting his stiches.
