ID Of 'Fan' Attacked By Mike Knox; Extremists On Raw; WWE Removing More ECW Authenticity
Thank you to everyone that enjoyed our comments during the webcast about WWE killing all the authenticity (if any was left) of what made ECW, well, ECW.
There are so many tiny examples that could be done during the broadcast that could give it an ECW feel. I'm chuckling right now checking out a few interviews some WWE employees behind ECW made over the last few months. And the one thing that sticks out, is how they all said in different words how the fans in ECW were a big part of the show.
Interraction. Something that is non-existant in this ECW. And no Mike 'Im going to get a bigger push than any ECW midcarder & for what' Knox pushing a plant at ringside is not interraction.
Even the Stephen DeAngelis announcing comments we made during the webcast. We received so much feedback from fans who in a nutshell said that just hearing that geek Justin Roberts immediately removes the ECW feel. And yes they would prefer Horshak brought back to the product.
We'll get into this more during the weekend and on the next webcast. Because I have some interesting news about something else eliminated from ECW that noone is reporting right now. Once the ECW house show takes place tonight, we'll report it on the website.
The 'fan' at ringside that was 'assaulted' by Mike Knox during WWE Velocity ECW was Marty Garner who wrestles on the indy circuit as Cham Pain. And he also competed in ECW back in 1999/2000 as Puck Dupp.
If you check out the pic above, Puck is the one in the middle.
The main event for ECW on Sci-Fi this Tuesday night will be Rob Van Dam vs Edge for both the WWE & ECW titles. It's advertised as an 'Extreme Rules' match. How lovely.
Expect the NWO ECW faction to appear on Raw this Monday night.
