Impact Scores Highest Rating To Date; WWE Releases Danny Doring; Dan Rodimer / Raw Debut; TNA / MLB Angle Mainstream Press; Zidian / Matthews Dating
TNA Impact for 12/14 scored a 1.2 rating, up from last week's 1.0. That's their highest rating to date.
The TNA / MLB angle involving AJ Pierzynski and David Eckstein continues to make press amongst the non wrestling world.
Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer reports that WWE is already planning to throw Daniel Rodimer into main event 6 man tag matches on WWE house shows. In only a few weeks, WWE plans to have DX and Ric Flair vs Edge, Orton, and Rodimer. And Rodimer hasn't even debuted on television yet.
If this is going to happen at house shows and I were WWE, I'd use this Monday's Battle Royale to debut Rodimer on TV. I wouldn't agree in having him win the Battle Royale, but it would be a good way to have him debut and interract with others during the match.
WWE released former ECW Tag Team champion Danny Doring today. After WWE decided to repackage Roadkill and cease his ECW gimmick, the writing seemed on the wall for Doring. A shame though since Doring is definitely sound in the ring, has a good look, and can perform. Especially when you have morons like Mike Knox under contract, releasing Doring makes no sense. Then again like we said before, Knox must give great **** backstage to keep his job.
For those that care, the recently released Amy Zidian is currently dating MnM's Joey Matthews.
