Indy Wrestler & Promoter Jimmy ' Hustler ' Alicea Passes Away At 33 Years Old

Forgive me for having a very heavy heart at the moment as this hits home for me. Jimmy Alicea, better known to indy wrestling fans as Jimmy Hustler, has passed away. He was only 33 years old.

Jimmy was a good friend to many of us and we are absolutely in shock right now. Medically the only speculation right now, is that he passed away from a Heart Attack. I know alot of people are going to come out of the woodwork to write how much of a good guy Jimmy was. And that's because he truly was a good guy.

Jimmy's day job was about 5 minutes from mine so we would get together about once or twice a month and have lunch. I  think we did it just to play hookey from our jobs. Countless times I hung out with Jimmy at a late night establishment he supervised in Brooklyn. We would have a ball at that place. I remember about a month ago we were at the club and it was empty. We had such a long conversation about life. About wrestling. About so many different topics.

The one thing I always joked about with him, is that he never slept. He would have his 9-5 job, train during the week, wrestle on the weekend, work his late night job, studying, preparing his next ABC Wrestling event, etc. Some people sit at home and their biggest stress of the day, is being booted off of AOL. This man worked his ass off. And everytime I would kid about it, he would always tell me that he was having fun. Enjoying life. Doing everything that made him happy.

It really pisses me off right now to think that someone who enjoyed life so much, has to be taken so young. I don't want to start throwing out names publicly. But there's alot of people out there that really touched Jimmy and made him happy. In this somber moment, you can look in the mirror and smile. Be proud knowing that while Jimmy was here, you made his life a more pleasant experience. I will always think of Jimmy as a good friend who worked hard and really enjoyed everything he did.

For everyone that would like funeral arrangements for Jimmy, the wake will be this Friday 11/24 from 4PM to 9PM at:

San Juan Funeral Chapels
317 Central Avenue
Brooklyn, NY 11221

The funeral mass will be Saturday 11/25 8:30AM at:
Saint Barbaras Church (located right at the Funeral Home)

He will be laid to rest at Rosehill Cemetary, Route US1, in Linden NJ.

Thank you Jimmy for your friendship. You will truly be missed.
