Jimmy Hustler Laid To Rest; Disrespect From 'Insider' Sites (But Imagine If He Wrestled For Ring Of Honor?)

I wanted to thank everyone who sent along condolences and to everyone I saw at the funeral for Jimmy 'Hustler' Alicea who passed away Wednesday. Much respect to everyone who came out to say goodbye to a fallen friend.

Now granted Jimmy was not well known in the mainstream world of indy wrestling. He worked mostly the northeast, promoted a few shows for ABC Pro Wrestling. But I have to tell you. A few 'insider' websites were notified of Jimmy's passing and given funeral information to pass along. Do you know that they didn't even have the respect to mention his passing?

Can you f***ing imagine the countless mentions and boldface print if Jimmy would have wrestled for Ring Of Honor? Even for just a cup of coffee. Even if he was a jobber under a mask. Even if he was an errand boy. Even if everyone still had never heard of him. All of a sudden, he'd be written in a way where you'd think he was a totally different person. Amazing how some people belittle a death in the wrestling world, just because they didn't work for their company of preference.

I admit the passing of Jimmy Hustler doesn't garnish mainstream press on mainstram sites and didn't expect it. But to totally ignore his passing is disrespectful.

Putting those shallow supernerds aside, the family of Jimmy Alicea has some serious money issues. Usually donations are done in reverse when there's a death in the wrestling world. Someone passes on, and money is raised for the kids. Here we have a situation where the child has passed away, and the parents have expended money they didn't even have to bury their son.

Soon we will be posting donation information, and merchandise (DVD's) you can buy and the proceeds will go to the family of Jimmy Hustler. There is also discussions for a tribute show with all proceeds going to the family as well. One venue and many indy stars have already stepped up to help out. As soon as the above solidifies, we will post the details on the website.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to read this.
