John Bradshaw Layfield 'Cheap Shots' John Kerry; Don Callis Commends Brock Lesnar; Lesnar Likely To Be Cut From Vikings
JOHN BRADSHAW LAYFIELD 'CHEAP SHOTS' JOHN KERRY
NY Newsday posted an article today with quotes from John "Bradshaw" Layfield, who will be appearing at the Republican National Convention, and Youth Convention in NYC.
In the article, he made this comment: "If John Kerry and George W. Bush got into a wrestling match, I don't know who'd win," he quips, "but I think Kerry would find a way to get a Purple Heart out of it."
Of course it's common knowledge that Layfield supports Bush and meant the comment as a lighthearted joke. However I'm sure Kerry supporters will not be thrilled at poking fun at Kerry and purple hearts.

DON CALLIS COMMENDS BROCK LESNAR

Brock Lesnar may be on the verge of being cut from the Minnesota Vikings squad, if rumors are to be believed. Lesnar walked away from a guaranteed WWE contract to pursue, at age 27, his dream of playing NFL football. He has been impressive in scrimmages, but was recently moved from defensive tackle to nosetackle. This move likely signaled that his much talked about lack of football experience was hurting him in the technique department, competing against guys who have been playing for all of their lives.
Lesnar had become one of the Vikes fan favourites, recently getting a standing ovation for getting only one tackle. His No. 69 jersey is now being auctioned off for big bucks and he regularly has lineups for autographs.
Having said that, the NFL is not strictly a popularity contest. Lesnar is not likely to be kept around if he cannot do what is necessary with respect to the many other defensive linemen in camp.

LESNAR LIKELY TO BE CUT FROM MINNESOTA VIKINGS
Several reports out of Minnesota state that the Vikings will have to cut at least 13 players. Brock Lesnar is listed as one of the candidates for release. The problem? Reports have listed only twelve likely candidates which means Vikings do not have a large number of players to choose from for release.
