WWE RAW Results: Los Angeles, CA

RAW begins with footage from the Eric/Kane/Austin confrontations. Also, Austin beating on Y2J and Christian; then the JR and Kane interview where Kane sets JR on fire. And then Eric’s threat that Linda is going to fire him.

Tonight on RAW Kane vs. RVD and Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels.

Eric is in the ring. Eric, “tonight SCSA’s misguided run as co-general manager is going to come to an end. Everyone knows JR and I have never been friends but no one deserves to be set on fire. I am convinced that Kane’s reign of terror is the result of Austin’s arrogance and negligence.” He is interrupted by Linda coming to the ring. Eric, “Mrs. McMahon it’s so good to see you here tonight. Linda interrupts him, Linda, “I need you to listen because I’m only going to say this one time. SCSA is not responsible for Kane’s action Kane is responsible for Kane’s actions. And even though JR for whatever reason has not pressed formal charges Kane is under house arrest and has been ordered to undergo an evaluation. But house arrest does not prevent Kane from earning a living or coming to work. So therefore, Kane will come here and compete against RVD tonight.” Eric, “that’s a great idea. I’m behind you on that. I don’t know why I went off on that tangent anyway; this is about SCSA getting fired.”

He’s interrupted again by Austin coming to the ring. Austin, “I’m gong to tell you face to face SCSA ain’t going to apologize for anything he’s done. I stand behind the decision because I thought that was the thing to do.” To Eric, “you have a problem with that…shut up. If JR don’t want to press charges against Kane that’s fine with me I’ll whip Kane’s ass. Eric, “that’s exactly the kind of attitude that’s going to get you in trouble with Linda and its going to get you fired, right Linda?” Linda, “Wrong, Eric. I never said I was coming to fire SCSA. What I said was I was coming to RAW to address a problem in GM office. A GM accepts responsibility for his actions but you can’t go around beating the hell out of all the WWE superstars and that’s where the problem lies. If you’re going to remain as GM you can’t put your hands on anybody anymore.” Eric, “Do you hear that, it’s over,” Linda, “unless you are physically provoked. You’ve got to play be the rules and they’re for everybody.” Austin, “If I see fit to beat the crap out of Kane I lose my job.” Linda “Yes.” Linda, “If you step he down as co-GM I’m going to have no choice but to turn total control of RAW back to Eric.” Austin, “I’ll think about it.” Linda, “I can give you a week. With everything’s that’s going on I think its best you take the night off.” Linda, “Eric, why don’t you take the night off.”

Trish and Gail Kim vs. Molly Holly and Victoria w/Steven Richards. Trish accidentally kicks Gail Kim and Molly Holly and Victoria get the win.

Poll-should JR file charges against Kane?

Terri says Kane has not arrived yet. Jericho says the highlight of the night will be Jericho beating Michaels. He sings a song about hooray for Jericho. Austin comes up while he’s singing. Austin and Eric confront each other. They argue about being told to take the night off. Austin says he’s motivating people. Eric says he’s motivating people so well they’re in the parking lot while everyone is in there. Austin flips Eric the bird.

Evolution comes to the ring. Orton takes the mic. Orton says Foley tells him he has all the tools but not the experience to make it in this business. Did I make a name for myself when I kicked his ass and threw him down the stairs? Did I make a name for myself last week when I pinned all three Dudley’s by myself? You guys know that I’ve always been known as the lady killer. I think that I’ve made a new name for myself now, it’s the legend killer.

Randy Orton vs. Val Venis. Triple H is now at the announce table. Triple H says JR should have stopped, dropped, and roll instead he just laid there. Ric Flair interferes by grabbing Val’s leg and turns to get a kick in the face from Orton. Triple H says he’s going to hand select his next opponent. Orton gets the win after Val misses with money shot.

HHH takes the mic. He tells Orton to put on shirt on before the girls maul him. The front of the shirt reads “Evolution” the back reads “Paid, Laid, and Made.” HHH says there is no one that can stop them. Goldberg interrupts HHH. HHH and Goldberg are nose to nose in the ring. Goblderg, “You stand out here and say that you’re the best. You make it sound like you’re invincible. Maybe in your own eyes because to me you’re nothing but another victim. And if you haven’t figured it out, your next.” Nose to nose again. Flair and Orton come up beside him. Goldberg signals them to come on. They talk back and forth off mic but we could tell HHH said it would be on his terms. Evolution leaves the ring.

Backstage Evolution is talking amongst themselves, Orton wants to kick Goldberg’s ass, Flair says they will do it on their time. HHH says he’s done half of the job already and needs to go out there and do the other half.

Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels. Some parts are almost a mirror of the Wrestlemania match. Ric Flair comes to the ring, Shawn does a baseball slide to knock Flair down with his fist. Just as Jericho gets Shawn in the Walls of Jericho they go to a commercial! What! When we come back Jericho has Shawn in a headlock. Shawn goes over the top rope again and Flair chokes him with his jacket. Jericho misses with one lionsault but hits with the next one. Michaels misses with sweet chin music, the ref turns his head and misses Jericho’s low blow to Shawn. Jericho brings in a chair, the ref yells at him. Michaels hits sweet chin music against the chair to Jericho’s head. The ref pushes Flair off the apron and Flair pulls him out of the ring. Orton comes in and hits Michaels with a neck breaker on the chair. The ref sends Flair backstage. Michaels kicks out. Jericho puts the Walls of Jericho back on. Jericho is using the turnbuckle to brace himself. Shawn claws his way to the other side of the ring. Jericho pulls him away from the ropes and Michaels taps.

Lance Storm is in the ring and says the fans don’t appreciate his talent. He gives a statement to Rob Reiner who is in the audience. His statement is interrupted by Kane arriving shackled and surrounded by police.

Booker T vs. Test for the Intercontinental Title. During the match Scott Steiner comes to the stage with a chair, sits down and calls Stacy out. Scott and Stacy tease each other then she rips her skirt off. Steiner gets a lap dance and Booker T gets the win.

There is some meeting in the locker room about Kane. Hurricane tells Rosey he sees a superhero in training when he looks at him. Goldust interrupts and says superhero in training is S H I T. He says something else that gets bleeped out.

Kane comes to the ring still shackled and escorted by the police. They release him at ringside. Before the match they show footage of everything that Kane has done. RVD runs straight at Kane, the aggressor. They fight on the outside of the ring and then up the ramp to the stage. Kane knocks out the ref and gets ready to chokeslam RVD off the stage but a bunch of refs and other people from backstage come out to stop him. Kane slams RVD into the stage set. Linda is on the stage and Kane goes after her. He gets ready to chokeslam her but Jerry Lawler interferes and gets pushed out of the way. Kane goes after Linda again and picks her up, giving her a piledriver on the stage. RAW goes off with Linda lying on the stage motionless.
