I just received word that the Kidney Transplant Surgery for Konnan appears to have been a success. The kidney appears to be functioning normally and Konnan is resting comfortably in a Tijuana hospital.
If all goes well without complications, Konnan will be released from the hospital either Friday or Saturday.
I personally spoke to Konnan this weekend and he wanted to send along his love and appreciation to everyone. He insisted that sometime next week, he will come aboard the webcast and thank everyone personally.
Even though the surgery was performed successfully, he is not out of the woods just yet. Spend 10 minutes to read about this type of transplant surgery, and you'll understand why. Please continue to keep Konnan in your prayers that he fully recovers. Also please remember the person that was kind and generous enough to give his kidney. He wishes to remain anonymous at this time and we will respect those wishes.
Personally I want to send along my continued thanks to everyone. I am humbled at the love and support that was received. Konnan has a new lease on life, and that is something you can't help but to smile about.
