Radio Recap: Tom Prichard Speaks On His WWE Departure & Possible Return, TNA, OVW, & More

The following recap is courtesy of Brian Cooper of bigvanvader.com. You can always listen to the interviews at www.GetInTheRing.tv.

 - Tom Prichard joins Sir Adam & The Phantom on the show. Prichard begins by telling the hosts that he still won't give the details of the Missy Hyatt book, Phantom interrupts by asking the question thats on his and everyone else's lips: is Prichard spell with or without a t! Prichard said Nick Bockwinkel has the same trouble.

 - Phantom brings up the "baby killer" Gene Snitsky. Tom says Gene has all the potential in the world with great looks and attitude, but hasn't been around enough experienced guys yet. The only way the and the likes of Heidenreich and Batista will make it is by being at the house shows and in front of the TV cameras. Prichard said Batista was too reserved and timid before hooking up with Flair and HHH. He says HHH helped Orton, Batista and Ron Waterman.

 - Adam asked Prichard if he ever came across guys where he had to say they're never gonna make it. Prichard replied that's an easy thing to say. He always said Sean Stasiak  was gonna make it, had everything going for him, but was his own worst enemy. Sean didn't understand you had to relax and just feel the business.

 - Phantom asked for Tom's side of his WWE departure. Tom hopes it is just a bump in the road, he is not a corporate guy but understands the business and the etiquette. John Laurinaitis wanted people in with similar opinions to himself. Tom hopes things will work out and they'll do business again. He spoke to Vince, and both understood each others positions. He had the job of a lifetime in the office and scouting talent.

 - Phantom asked as long as John is in his position, is there anyway they can coexist. Tom thinks they can. Tom only has good things to say about John and the WWE and is optimistic about working together again.

 - Adam asks any more "diamonds in the rough" like Gene Snitsky. Prichard reckons Matt Morgan stands out and will be a superstar some day. The talk moves to TNA. Tom has the highest respect for the Jarrett's, but doesn't know if they have a use for him or not. Tom reiterates he hopes to one day be back in the WWE.

 - Prichard is asked about his brother, Bruce. He says Bruce was beyond burnout and needed a break. The reason guys like himself and HHH get into the business is because they're fans, and the business is more real than you'll ever believe. There's a lot of crap with the politics. The travel can be tough and Bruce was ready for a break. In the past you could move from one territory to another and not burnout. But since Vince's expansion, the schedule was tighter. It's tougher today for different reasons with maintaining the image of a PLC. In the older days the guys hit the bars and the strip joints after shows, but due to the deaths and the arrests, this doesn't happen anymore. It's easy or the wrestlers to get hooked on drugs and that he and many other guys came close to death.

 - Prichard uses himself Eddie Guerrero, William Regal as examples to the locker room of how a guy can turn their life's around. Adam asks is Vince such a bad guy as he's just helped Sean Waltman get into rehab. Tom said Vince shows compassion and should've let him go several times. By all rights, Eddie should be dead but wasn't, thanks to Vince.

 - Phantom jokes, does he look back at Missy Hyatt and wonder what he was on? Tom says that was at the height of it! What she wrote in the book wasn't exactly what happened. Tom said it was his birthday and he was scheduled to work with Tony Anthony. After the show, he was supposed to meet Anthony around the corner, but he no showed. Missy bought him some beer for his birthday, they went in his car, and she attacked him.

 - Phantom asks about the infamous "s*** sandwich", Prichard didn't mention any names, but he did say an olympic wrestler was involved and that Henry ate the whole sandwich. Henry had a bad attitude at first so was the target for ribs. Phantom tried to dig up dirt on Josh Matthews who Prichard said was very "cock-sure" of himself.
