Raw Rating; Identity Of The ECW / WWE 'Schlong In The Thong'; Time Off For Kurt Angle
Raw for Monday 6/26/06 scored a 4.05 off of hours 3.6 and 4.5. Even with that jump in hour two, the rating is still down from last week's 4.2.
AM Raw scored a 0.6 rating.
As we reported on Tuesday night's hotline report, the 'stripper' from ECW was WWE Creative Team employee Chris DeJoseph. And in case you didn't realize, he was the same person on last week's Raw.
Following our reporting of this last night, we received alot of calls from fans asking our opinion of a creative team member involved in a skit like this. We'll discuss it during tonight's special Minority Report Webcast which should be up late tonight for your listening pleasure.
To give a quick reply, I don't see to much wrong with DeJoseph doing the skit. However, if it were his idea, I have more of a problem with the nature of the skit. Kinda scary that someone obese and reeking the body features of Mike Johnson would come up with an idea of flicking his schlong in a thong 2 weeks in a row for wrestling fans.
Dave Meltzer reports that Kurt Angle will be taking some time off soon to heal up a bit. With the ECW 'roster' (or should be say cliq) lacking main eventers, someone from Raw would have to jump over and stay for a long while.
Amongst the top rated shows on basic cable last week, the 6/19 edition of Raw was ranked #3 for hour two, and #5 for hour one.
