Edge Injured; Recap Of Shawn Michaels On Fox News; WWE Stars At Bush Party; Divas Search Finale Date Changed

This weekend Edge suffered what could be a hip injury during his match against Chris Jericho. Edge was thrown outside of the ring, and landed very awkwardly. Some are saying his side, others are saying his ass. However, if he landed on his side, he could have injured his hip. Noone is mentioning his pelvis, which would be more of the injury he could have sustained if he landed on his ass.

Edge was to undergo tests today to discover what the injury actually is. He is expected to be at Raw tonight, but not in a wrestling role. If he is on TV, that will give us a good idea as to how bad his injury is.

Hopefully it is not too serious as he just returned not too long ago from a 14 month hiatus due to his neck injury.

Earlier today I was listening to my XM Radio and tuned into Fox News Channel. Low and behold, Shawn Michaels was being interviewed on the "Dayside With Linda Vesser". This airs on television, however you can listen to the show via XM radio.

Michaels was live at the Republican National Convention here in NY and spoke a bit on George W Bush and John Kerry. For those who are curious with his thoughts on the presidential race, he had this to say:

- On George W Bush: He said he like Bush, are very strong on family, his faith, and freedom.

- On John Kerry: Michaels believes that Kerry's biggest problem is truth and credibility. He says that Kerry seems to change his views on certain matters to go along with public opinion. Michaels mentions that his father served in Vietnam. Michaels says that his father is most turned off at Kerry's voting record in the sentate (he has missed a large percentage of voting opporunities on some very important issues.)

He finished up by promoting the Smackdown Your Vote campaign.

For those interested, many of the WWE stars including Marc Henry, Chris Nowinski, and Ivory were at Roseland over the weekend at the party hosted by the daughters of George W Bush.

WWE announced earlier today that they have changed the date of the Divas Search 2004 Finale. Originally September 13th was the date a winner would have been selected. For some reason, they have changed the date to September 20, 2004. No word as to what they will do with the extra week. Unless something hokey happens on TV the next 2 weeks to bump the original 9/13 date.
