If you didn't think this case could become more wacky, it has. The Island Tribune has posted the following update on the Sean O'Haire incident from last month. As you will read, law enforcement has finally incarcerated the individual who left O'Haire with very serious injuries. In fact, the article reveals that this individual has a criminal background.

However, law enforcement has also decided to arrest O'Haire as well. Obviously one side instigated the fight. And when a fight first occurs, I can understand why law enforcement would arrest everyone involved. But to arrest both sides after all this time? Here's the article:

Former professional wrestler was charged early Monday for fighting outside of a Hilton Head Island bar last month.

Sean Christopher Haire, 36, who won the World Championship Wrestling tag-team titles in 2000 and 2001 as Sean O'Haire, was charged with felony high and aggravated assault and battery. He remains in the Beaufort County Detention Center, where he is being held for prosecution, according the jail's online log.

The other man involved in the fight also was charged Monday. Juan Hamilton Brantley, 28, of Hilton Head also faces high-and-aggravated assault and battery charges. He also is being held for prosecution at the county jail, according to the log.

It is unusual for both parties in a fight to face the same charges, said Capt. Toby McSwain of the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

"It's a little surprising that the court has issued warrants to both of them, but I guess the judge listened to both sides of the story and couldn't determine who the primary aggressor was," he said.

Haire and witnesses offer differing accounts of what happened March 30 outside of Hilton Head Brewing Co.

Haire said he was trying to help a friend who was attacked by three unknown men when Brantley punched him in his left eye, knocking him into nearby bushes. Some witnesses say Brantley acted in self-defense after Haire tried to start a fight with him inside the bar and was kicked out.

The blow fractured Haire's orbital lobe in three places and resulted in other fractures to his face and skull. Vision in his left eye is impaired and his injuries reportedly require plastic surgery.

Just two weeks before, Brantley told deputies that Haire threatened to beat him up at another island bar.

Haire, a Hilton Head High School graduate, began wrestling in WCW in 2000 and later for World Wrestling Entertainment. He stopped wrestling in 2004 to focus on mixed martial arts fighting in Japan.

Previously, he had been charged in four fights on the island, but was only convicted of one.

Brantley also had been charged with four fights in the past as well as illegally carrying a gun, cocaine trafficking and grand larceny. It was unclear Monday whether he was convicted of those charges.
