Smackdown Rating; Steve Williams Undergoes Surgery; Smackdown Lineup For Italy Tour
WWE Smackdown scored a 2.6 rating, up from last week's 2.5. Last week's rating was due to 15% of the viewing audience being pre-empted. This week, that is a full viewership rating, which makes it just about the lowest of all time.
WWE posted the following statement today on the health of Dr. Death Steve Williams.
"Dr. Death Steve Williams underwent a laryngectomy (removal of the voice box) for throat cancer earlier this week in Texas. The surgery went well and he is on the road to recovery. While he is still hospitalized and in pain, Steve is in good spirits. Dr. Death appreciates all of the support and e-mails that the fans have sent along and wishes to send his thanks."
