Jim Varsallone, who normally reports the world of wrestling in The Miami Herald, has a good article online on Stacy Keebler. The interview with Keebler was done in conjunction with the upcoming Raw event in Florida 12/16. Here is the article, courtesy of Jim Varsallone and The Miami Herald:

Stacy Keibler is a natural beauty, and WWE fans not only enjoy her look but her sweet disposition, improving camera presence and uncanny marketing skills.

''It's really exciting. I wouldn't have any other job in the world,'' she said. ``I love what I do. I love going out there and entertaining people. To work with these guys is great. It is entertainment. I've been involved in different storylines. It's always what you make of it. Everything I've been involved in has been great.''

Keibler added depth to her character when she teamed with real-life boyfriend Test as his agent/marketing consultant. Inspired by the Hulkamaniacs, she created the Testicles. Prior, she began making her TV mark as Mr. McMahon's personal assistant.

''Any person I've worked with - male or female - I've learned different things,'' she said. ``I've learned different techniques. I've learned different ways of acting. When I was paired up with Vince McMahon as his assistant, I learned so much from him because he improvises a lot.''

Learning from Fit Finlay at the WCW Power Plant and later working with WWE stars the Dudley Boys helped Keibler make a transition from dancer to wrestling personality. Test heightened her character. They forged a working relationship which developed into a personal bond.

''We have such a great chemistry on screen and off,'' Keibler said. ``We are always joking around. We're always laughing and having a good time. It's really tough being on the road in these situations. I explain our road life as our reality check of life. We get dropped off on Fridays, and then we find our way to get to the shows on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. It's always like a road trip, and we make the best of it.

``Test is a really, really good guy. He's a really good person. He plays a great bad guy on TV because people just love to hate him, but he's really a sweet, nice person off camera.''

Keibler wore many hats prior to her wrestling stint. A full-time college student at Towson University in Baltimore, she also spent life as a model, an actress and a Baltimore Ravens cheerleaders before auditioning to become a WCW Nitro Girl.

``If I wasn't involved in wrestling, I'd probably still be a cheerleader with a college degree. Who knows what I'd be doing.''

Keibler doesn't need to concern herself with 'what ifs' as she is a main figure on Raw. Though finishing college is a possibility -- someday.

''I want to private school my whole life -- from kindergarten through high school,'' said Keibler who resides in Baltimore. 'The one thing my parents [Gary and Pat Keibler] asked me was to `please get that paper. Please go back.' They want me to graduate college so bad.

``School will always be there. If I go back, I think it would be more for my parents sake to make them happy by getting my diploma. I don't feel me going back to school I would be doing anything with it because hopefully after wrestling or while I'm here in wrestling, I can do other things in the entertainment business.''

Other things like Playboy? The adult magazine offered Keibler the same opportunity Sable, Chyna and Torrie Wilson received with the cover.

''Just recently they asked me if I would pose for the March issue,'' she said. ``I turned it down because that's not the way I want my career to go. It's just not something I want to do at this time in my life. Nothing against the girls who have done it because I think they look beautiful, and I think it's an incredibly sexy thing. It's just not something I want to do right now.''

Currently, instead of cheering on the sidelines, Keibler now cheers from the stands. She owns season tickets to the Baltimore Ravens supporting her football and cheerleading friends. She's grown into an avid sports fan, including hockey which makes sense since Test is from Canada, where big-time hockey rules, eh.

''I never liked hockey watching it on TV,'' she said, ``but when I went live, I loved it.''

Whether in a classroom gaining an education at a four-year university or learning through the school of hard knox in the ring, Keibler receives plenty of support.

''I have the best parents in the world, and they are so supportive,'' Keibler said. ``They watch [Raw] every Monday night. They watch SmackDown on Thursdays even though I'm not involved in SmackDown. They watch every wrestling show, and they have become complete wrestling fans. They go to the shows. They think it's wonderful.

``I won a [WCW Nitro Girl] dance contest originally to get my job, and all the years of dancing that I've had since I was 3-years-old, my parents say it finally paid off -- like my mom running me to dance class from here to there and auditions being a child. They're incredibly happy and supportive. I couldn't ask for better parents.''

Her parents enjoy watching the storylines involving Keibler and real-life boyfriend Test.

''I call my mom after every Raw on Monday nights,'' Keibler said, 'and I always ask her what she thinks. `What was good. What was bad. How did you like our thing? What didn't you like?' I don't usually get to see the entire show on Monday nights so she gives me the mom report.''

Keibler began her foray into pro wrestling about 3 ½ years ago.

''I watched wrestling with my boyfriend at the time, and we went to the shows, and we watched every Monday night [WCW Monday Nitro],'' Keibler said. ``I just saw an ad for the Nitro Girl contest on television to win $10,000. Philadelphia was the second to last city that they were going. So every week I got to watch the competition and what was going on. I kept saying, `I could do this. I could do this. I could do this. I know it.'

``When Philly came around, I was torn. Part of me was like I don't know if I really want to do this, but something was in my head, if you don't do this, you're going to regret it. So I went. I did it. From the day I first auditioned, it has been a whirlwind since then. I auditioned. I ended up winning, and then the next week I signed a contract, and I was gone. I've traveled just about every week since.''

About a month after dancing with the Nitro Girls, WCW producers had other plans for the long-legged beauty. She strutted her stuff as Ms. Hancock.

''They wanted me to be a valet,'' Keibler said. ``That was easy to be a valet and walk down and act because I've been acting since I was 5. That was okay. Then when they asked me to wrestle, that was a huge difference. I'm totally a ballerina and not a fighter.''

Keibler competed in track & field, cheerleading and soccer in high school in Baltimore, but pro wrestling is something else.

''It took a lot more for me to learn,'' she said. ``I'm not the best wrestler in the world, and I have a lot to learn. The women's wrestling division has been kicked up a notch on Mondays [Raw] because of Fit Finlay [who also made a transition from WCW to WWE]. He's helping the girls out a lot.

``Test has been a great help with me, making sure I'm doing the right things or telling me the right way to do things. The Dudleys always made sure I was learning the correct way -- not only how to wrestle but how a match is put together and how it tells a story.''

With more to learn, Keibler is a natural of sorts.

''I'm pretty lucky that I don't really look at myself in the mirror and think about like 10 things I want to get fixed,'' she said. ``Especially when it comes to breast augmentation, it's not something right now that I want to get done. I'm working with what God gave me, and I just think that's kind of my appeal -- the girl next door, all naturale. What you see is what you get.''

It works.
