The Rock Makes Guinness World Records; ECW Rating; Layla Wins 2006 Divas Search; Tazz On NY Radio Tonight; WWE Smackdown Preview; Torrie Wilson Interview

In the 2007 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records, The Rock is now listed as the Highest Paid Actor In A Debut Role for The Scorpion King. Now for those who are going to say that The Scorpion King wasn't his first movie, they mean debuting as the lead in a film.
For those interested, Layla El won the 2006 WWE Diva Search. JT Tinney was eliminated first, Jen England was eliminated second.
ECW for 8/15 scored a 2.3 rating, up from last week's 2.1.
Here is your updated Smackdown preview, courtesy of wwe.com:
Last week on SmackDown, The Great Khali and Daivari tried their best to avoid Undertaker. Instead, Khali received a thunderous chokeslam and was ordered to face Undertaker in the Last Man Standing Match not at SummerSlam, but at SmackDown instead. This week, the monsters will meet in perhaps the most brutal match in SmackDown history.
As first reported on WWE.com, Rey Mysterio and Chavo Guererro will face off at SummerSlam. The bitter family feud escalated to another level last week, and Eddie Guerrero’s widow Vickie was involved again. The emotionally distraught Vickie found herself on the arena floor after being inadvertently knocked off her feet. What will Rey and Chavo have to say for themselves just two days from their big showdown?
Last week, we learned that King Booker will be defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Batista at SummerSlam. The Animal warmed up by teaming with Lashley and taking out Finlay and Regal in tag team action. Meanwhile, King Booker scouted from the announce position. Batista will be making a return to his hometown of Washington D.C. on Friday, what will he and King Booker do to prepare for their huge match just two days away from SummerSlam?
The United States Championship will be on the line when the rivalry between current Champ Finlay and the hard-hitting Lashley continues this Friday on SmackDown. Finlay has managed to hold on to the gold so far, but will his luck continue this Friday?
Just more than a week away from the biggest party of the summer, there are still many issues to be sorted out. What will happen as the road to SummerSlam comes to a close? Tune in for yourself, Friday night at 8/7 CT and only on UPN.
Special thanks to Anthony (Brooklyn, NY) 3e6r.net hotline caller for the following info. For those in the NY area that can get 92.3 'Free FM' (Known to most of us as the former KROCK), Tazz was on the radio last night. He co-hosted a show with Max Kellerman from 10PM to 2AM. The show is mostly talk radio with call-ins; and from what we received from Anthony, Tazz wasn't that bad at all.
Tazz will be on one more night for anyone interested in listening to the show. Tune in tonight from 10AM to 2AM.
IGN conducted the following interview with Torrie Wilson. Here's a portion:
August 16, 2006 - It's one thing to talk to someone new, but imagine that everyone you meet from now on has already seen you naked.
That's what life is like for WWE Diva and two-time Playboy covergirl Torrie Wilson (who also makes an appearance on the September cover of FHM).
"It's really weird to me," laughs Wilson. "You spend so much time in the makeup chair and then someone is standing right next to you and their job is to be in position so each time the camera clicks they move your hair one little centimeter to get the picture to look just how they want it to look."
How do you get that job?
"People will recognize me from the magazine covers and I'm kind of embarrassed because I don't look that good. I don't spend all that time in a makeup chair every day. Maybe it's just me feeling better about things but I think posing for a photo is a little different than even video or being in person, so to me a photo isn't quite as bad."
But it wasn't always this way as Wilson claims growing up, she was actually quite shy. "When there is a camera around now, obviously I've grown out of that stage. You can't be shy and wrestle in a Bra and Panties match…it's almost like you're somebody else."
Here's what else Torrie had to say as we talked Divas, SummerSlam, and Hulk Hogan.
IGN Sports: Beyond looks, what does it take to be a successful WWE Diva?
Torrie Wilson: Beyond looks I think it takes someone who is extremely confident in themselves. It takes a lot of confidence to go out in front of a crowd of 10,000 plus on a weekly basis. I think you definitely have to have some type of athletic ability. You don't necessarily need to be a wrestler right off the bat, but I think you have to be able to get in there and mix it up with the girls. The storylines you are in are going to be very few and far between if you can't get in there and mix it up. It takes a different kind of woman to be in the wrestling industry and be away from home 300 days a year. You have to really like what you're doing.
IGN Sports: What advice do you give the Diva Search contestants?
Torrie Wilson: I haven't had a chance to talk to any of them really. They kind of keep the Divas…the Diva-wannabes separate from us for the length of the contest. I don't know if they don't want us giving them too many tips or picking our favorites or what.
IGN Sports: You mentioned the travel earlier, is that the toughest part of being in WWE?
Torrie Wilson: The travel is the hardest part but it's also the most fun of everything at the same time. Being away from home so much can be straining on relationships with your family and it can be pretty tiring. But I always go through phases where for a few months I'm really excited to go on the road and see some new cities, then for a few months I just want to be home.
