MTV did not air the episode of MTV Punk'd featuring John Cena Tuesday evening. However it did air over the weekend, and we discussed the episode in detail during Monday's (4/9/07) Minority Report Webcast. If you are interested in hearing this very strange Punk'd episode, you can stream our show online or download it.
Steve Austin was the host for a special screening of The Condemned Tuesday night in Boston, MA. Following the screening, there was a Q&A between viewers and Austin. Below are a few noteworthy items from the Q&A in no particular order:
- Growing up, his favorite actors included Clint Eastwood and John Wayne.
- He said 'Never say never' regarding a possible return to the ring. However when asked about a possible Hogan vs Austin match in the future, he said that will never happen.
- He wished TNA well and talked about how competition is good. He did sh** all over the 6 sided ring and felt wrestling is supposed to be in a 4 sided ring.
-- He commended John Cena and how he has carried the ball as the top WWE guy.
- He mentions that he wanted to be the evil character in the movie, but Vince talked him out of it. And he doesn't regret it since his character came off well. He also put over working with Vince McMahon and how Vince loves being hated by fans.
- Austin said he would welcome the idea of doing a movie with The Rock, if the right project came along.
- He mentions that he is close friends with Kevin Nash, and does mention how he briefly lived with DDP in California.
- Finally, with regard to the Montreal Screwjob, he defended Vince's decision. He explained that Bret was leaving for WCW, and should have dropped the title which is right for business.
