This past week, Robert Roode warned Eric Young that if he didn’t reveal the identity of his “friend” this Thursday night, he would personally fire him from TNA Wrestling! With Young’s back up against the wall, will he reveal who his friend is this Thursday night – or be fired from TNA Wrestling forever? Thus far, Young has revealed nothing about the identity of this individual and is unsure of what he will do when the time comes on “iMPACT!” on SpikeTV!
CHRIS SABIN’S SUICIDE STAMPEDE TO DETERMINE HIS OPPONENTS
Who will challenge Chris Sabin for the X Championship at Sacrifice? We’ll find out this Thursday night with the “Sabin Suicide Stampede” bout set to take place! Four teams of X Division stars will compete in the bout with the winning team earning the shot at “Sacrifice” in a three-way match against Sabin! The teams announced for the bout are as follows: Jerry Lynn & Petey Williams, Serotonin, Jay Lethal & Sonjay Dutt, Alex Shelley & Shark Boy.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to post a new blog. A lot of things have happened over the last six or seven weeks.
WRESTLEMANIA has come and gone. I really enjoyed this years Wrestlemania. I was disappointed that business kept me from attending the event in person, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching at home. It is difficult for me to say exactly which part of Wrestlemania I enjoyed the most, but I did get a particular kick out of watching “Mr. McMahon” get his head shaved. People often ask why WWE talent sometimes allow themselves to be put into what would appear to be compromising or embarrassing situations in WWE story lines. Vince answered that question clearly. How does one complain about being asked to do something that may be somewhat personally uncomfortable, when a sixty one year old chairman of the board of a publicly traded entertainment company goes out and gets his head shaved on the biggest event of the year?
I also really enjoyed the Hall Of Fame ceremony. Previous to coming to WWE headquarters last February to tape an episode of 24/7, I was asked to pick my all time favorite legends match up. I chose (not knowing at the time that both were both going to be inducted) the early matches between the rookie Curt Henning and the veteran Nick Bockwinkle. Many WWE fans were familiar with what a great performer the late Curt Hennig was. It’s a shame that many younger fans did not get to watch AWA in the 70’s and 80’s and to have had a chance to see Nick Bockwinkle in his prime. In my opinion Nick was one of the greatest characters of all time, and probably could be considered one of the greatest technical wrestlers as well. Those early matches between an already gifted Hennig and Bockwinkle were great!
SOCKO has finally gone nationwide! For the past year, my partner Jason Hervey and I have been working with a new beverage company based in Scottsdale, Arizona, One of the first things we did was create a product integration package in Sylvester Stallone’s final (I think) “Rocky Balboa” movie. If you saw the movie you would have seen the bright green “Socko” logo on the ring mat during the last 18 minutes of the movie in the final fight scene.
Since then we created a “Raw Attitude” energy drink with WWE and have been able to sell in a launch of the product beginning May 15 in Wal*Mart stores nationwide. As I write this blog, semi-trucks loaded with product are making their way to distribution centers across the country. This has been an extremely interesting project to work on and we are really looking forward to the launch of the product. You will be able to find “Raw Attitude powered by Socko” in two flavors in the cooler section of Wal*Mart. Look for the familiar Raw logo on a 4-pack in a store near you!
If you have seen any of the recent press releases our public relations company has issued about Socko and our efforts, you already know that Socko has launched “Hogan Energy powered by Socko” in convenience stores in about seventeen states. “Hogan Energy powered by Socko” will also be available in Wal*Mart stores across the country beginning May 15. As you might imagine, the 4-pack design is the familiar bright red and yellow with a pretty cool image of the Hulkster “Hulking up”.
IN CLOSING I would like to thank many of you who have expressed your condolences. My mother passed away a couple of weeks ago after a three and a half year battle with cancer. If you read my book, you know that I dedicated the book to her and briefly described her fight with the “bastard”. My mother was determined to fight the fight and be around for as long as possible (and was determined to be at my sisters wedding).
She kicked the bastards ass right up to her last day.
