Tommy Dreamer Replaces Dr Tom Pritchard As WWE Talent Development, Some Analysis

1wrestling.com reports that Dr. Tom Pritchard has been released by WWE and replaced by Tommy Dreamer as Director of Talent Development. Tommy Dreamer has been down at Ohio Valley Wrestling to observe the WWE development process. However, as 1wrestling.com notes, it is unclear if Dreamer knew that he was going to be offered the position in place of Pritchard.

Other sites are reporting that WWE released Pritchard of his contract, or chose not to renew it. From what I understand, Pritchard was a WWE employee and not under a contract as the wrestlers are. Also, it should be interesting to find out why the decision was made. Remember Tom's brother Bruce Pritchard aka "Brother Love" is employed with WWE as well.

Since one of Tom Pritchard's primary duties was to train and oversee talent development, maybe age played a factor. Also, there is always the chance that the move was done amicably and possibly Pritchard moving to other duties or career. As soon as we receive more information, we will post it on the website.
