WSU Women News POSTED: 2/20 We are less than 2 weeks away from WSU Womens League Debut event! WSU's first female show ever is shaping up to be a huge one! With huge matches such as Talia vs Daffney, Alicia vs Becky Bayless & more announced, this will prove to be one of the biggest days for womens wrestling! There are several key elements going into WSU's first women show of the year: - Alicia has been hellbent on training, as she faces the returning Becky Bayless. Becky Bayless has been out of the sport for nearly 3 years now and what she's done in that time is not all known. What we do know is Alicia is doing everything in her power to make sure that she ruins Becky's return to wrestling. The WSU rumor mill has been churning, as it's rumored that Becky is returning only to take out the evil Alicia, as Becky feels Alicia might've stole her spot in wrestling. Will Becky show signs of ring rust on 3/3? Will Alicia live up to her promise of spoiling Becky's return? We'll find out on 3/3 in Lodi, NJ. - Daffney vs Talia will be the main event on 3/3. Both competitors are thrilled to be in the main event of this historic event and will pull out all the stops to make sure they win. Daffney has told WSU that she is looking forward to proving her mat superiority on 3/3. Talia, who's stepped up her game considerably since leaving the managerial ranks to become a wrestler, will love nothing better than getting a huge win over a big name. A WSU Womens Title doesn't exist yet, but whoever gets the win in this match will certainly be the top athlete in the WSU Womens League. - On 3/3, two rising stars will compete, as Alexa Thatcher takes on Amber. Alexa Thatcher is coming into her own as of late, recently winning the NWS Womens J-Cup tournament, where she defeated three top womens wrestlers in one night. Amber is from the New England area and looking to get her feet wet in WSU. A win over Alexa would solidify her status in WSU. Victories are important in WSU and both grapplers will do their best to climb up the WSU ladder with a win in this match. - Also on 3/3, "The Soul-Sisters" will make their debut. Not much is known about the Soul-Sisters, except that their sole mission is to prove they are the best womens tag team in all of professional wrestling. They'll have a hard time picking up a win as Cha-Cha & a mystery partner has accepted the challenge of The Soul Sisters. This should be a hard hitting tag team match. - The Queen of all of Pro Wrestling, Missy Hyatt will be in the house on 3/3. What Missy plans to do on 3/3 is anyone's guess. Missy has signed an announcers contract with WSU and will be handling color commentary for the DVD release of this show, along with Sean Hanson. Missy, who has more pro wrestling experience than everyone on the roster, should be watched closely as no one can predict her next move! - The Diva Killaz collide on 3/3, as Kayla Sparks takes on tag team partner Miss Deville. Both competitors appreciate the style & spirit of competitive wrestling, hence why they've agreed to do battle on 3/3. Both women know each other very well, and this match should be very exciting. Expect a very action packed match here, as both girls want to prove to WSU fans & management that they can do it in the singles ranks as well as the tag team ranks. - Melissa Stripes takes on Barbie on 3/3 in Lodi, NJ. Stripes is known for her fast paced and high flying offense. Barbie, who is from the Upstate, NY area, is known for her ground and pound offense. This promises to be a huge clash of styles and a clash that should translate into a fantastic bout. With the competition being the focus of WSU, expect both these girls to show off everything they've got. - Amy Lee, who has the second most experience on the WSU roster, right behind Missy Hyatt, is fuming at WSU officials that she does not have a match yet. Amy has promised to take out her aggressions on the first people who piss her off on 3/3. The WSU rumor mill has suggested that wrestlers fear for their lives against Amy Lee, as Amy Lee has amassed a 15+ year career with plenty of hardcore & blood matches on her resume. However, despite all this, one wrestler has signed Amy Lee's open contract for 3/3, and we'll find out who it is on 3/3! - Overseeing all the action on 3/3 are Referee Missy Sampson & Referee Foxxy Foxxy. WSU has scouted many matches & talents over the past few years and wanted referees who can stay strong and firm with the wrestlers. No silly ref bumps where the refs are down for 5 minutes will happen with Sampson & Foxxy in charge. However, one must wonder how long these two can stay satisfied just calling the action down the middle, rather than being mixed up in the action. All this and much more takes place on 3/3 in Lodi, NJ with a special 3:30 belltime! Following the WSU womens show will be an NWA PRO show, which has an 8PM belltime. If you are a fan of womens wrestling or just a supporter, you won't want to miss out as this will be one of the hugest womens shows of the year! Tickets are only $10 and there will be a special ticket price at the door for fans looking to attend both the WSU womens show and the NWA PRO mens show. Don't miss out on what will be a huge day & night of pro wrestling on 3/3.
