WWE Apologizes For William Regal A** Shot From No Mercy, (None For Big Show, Vince...)

You have to love this one. WWE issued this apology on WWE.com for the accidental nudity that occurred during the No Mercy PPV. Basically we saw William Regal's ass.

(Note from AD: Dave Meltzer this evening noted that for a a split second (more like a 1/4 second), there was some frontal nudity when Regal was adjusting his towel. I absolutely missed it. He noted the same that 90-95% of viewers wouldn't have caught it unless intentionally looking for it on a replay. And after viewing the clip again, I would add that you would have to literally pause and advance frame by frame to see it. Nevertheless, with the nonsense WWE has put on TV and PPV, the apology is quite stupid. In our eyes that is.)

We will definitely poke fun of this one tonight during the webcast. It was funny enough to see this on WWE.com, with right underneath it promoting 'Strip Poker' and possibly nudity for Tuesday. But even funnier, did they forget the Vince McMahon or even Big Show's ass on PPV? I guess they feel no apologies are needed with the nudity is planned.

I have a strong feeling their 'apology' will quietly be taken down once an article like ours gets to them.

Here's the 'apology':

WWE apologizes
Oct. 9, 2006

World Wrestling Entertainment would like to apologize to anyone who watched WWE No Mercy and was offended by the William Regal locker room incident. Conduct of this kind is unacceptable in a family-friendly environment, and WWE accepts full responsibility. Nudity of any kind, even in a live television environment, is offensive to our audience and to the reputation of our company.
