WWE Cancels ECW Michigan Events Scheduled This Weekend (Yep, Only 1 Day Notice)
A special thank you to the fans in Michigan who left us emails and hotline messages. Earlier today, fans in the Michigan area learned that the ECW events scheduled for this weekend have been postponed.
Yep this weekend. I just checked out the ECW website, and no mention yet (as of this writing) about the cancellations.
The main reasoning was poor ticket sales, as well as Rob Van Dam not being able to perform in Michigan (due to his suspension). If ticket sales were good, the show simply would not have been cancelled.
Another reason going around is due to WWE wanting ECW stars to be involved in the Great American Bash PPV. (Little late to advertise that too huh?)
No word on a rescheduled date (as of this writing) for the ECW show that was supposed to take place in Muskogen. However, the Saginaw ECW house show has been rescheduled for November 5th. Anyone holding tickets should contact the source of their purchases to make sure the tickets will be honored for future rescheduled dates.
