WWE.com 9/23 Smackdown Preview; No Mercy PPV Update; Jackie Gayda / Charlie Haas Engaged

There is no shortage of anticipation for the season premiere of SmackDown! this week as the show celebrates its 5th anniversary from Phoenix.
In fact, three huge matches are already set to take place.
Per orders of General Manager Theodore Long, Kurt Angle and Luther Reigns will face Eddie Guerrero and Big Show in a tag team match in the main event.
Also, after last week’s surprise attack on Undertaker, former Ministry members Gangrel and Viscera will compete against the Phenom in a handicap match. High-flying Rey Mysterio will face Cruiserweight Champion Spike Dudley as well.
The program will also relive all of the show’s memorable moments. Appearances by Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hollywood Hogan, Mick Foley, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon and others will be part of the 5th Anniversary/Season Premiere of SmackDown!
Here are your confirmed matches for the 10/3 No Mercy PPV:
- JBL vs The Undertaker (World Title)
- Eddie Guerrero vs Luther Reigns
- Kurt Angle vs The Big Show
Obviously more will be announced this week on Smackdown.
In a recent interview with a Canadian newspaper, Jackie Gayda announced that she and Charlie Haas are engaged to be married. Haas recently proposed to her and they plan on marrying in 2005.
