WWE com Posts Video Footage Of Chavo Guerrero Injury; Plus 9/2 Smackdown Preview

WWE.com has posted footage of the injury suffered by Chavo Guerrero at this week's Smackdown. As you will see on video, Billy Kidman's execution of a shooting star press had him too much to the right of Chavo's body, thus an errant knee landing on Chavo's head. Between the force of the knee to the head, and the back of Chavo's head hitting the canvas, he was knocked out cold for several minutes. The video follows shows paramedics tending to Chavo which was ultimately taken to the hospital on a stretcher.

PS: For anyone that may feel airing the paramedics footage was in poor taste, I am sure they received the ok from Chavo before airing it on wwe.com. I don't think it was in bad taste in anyway, and I am more concerned as to Chavo's health rather than the questioning of this video clip being aired.

Here is your 9/2 Smackdown preview, courtesy of wwe.com:

Kurt Angle told Eddie Guerrero not to touch his Lincoln Town Car.

Of course, we learned later on last Thursday’s SmackDown! that the classic automobile actually belonged to GM Theodore Long.

So while Angle took great delight in watching Latino Heat smash in the windows and headlights, the joke may be on him this week. Long has scheduled for Angle and Guerrero to meet in a best-of-three falls match. It’s a showdown Guerrero has been begging for lately after Angle beat him at SummerSlam, getting Latino Heat to submit to the ankle lock.

Guerrero did pin Angle at WrestleMania XX. So who has the edge in the tiebreaker? Tune in Thursday (8/7 CT, UPN) to find out.

Meanwhile, the hype surrounding Paul Heyman’s newest enforcer figures to continue.

Heidenreich’s debut included a thrashing of announcer Josh Mathews. What destruction might ensue this week at the hands of the unstable Superstar?

All this and more this week on SmackDown! on UPN at 8/7 CT.
