WWE Footage Of Baghdad Mortar Attack Online; TNA / MLB Press Release; Comment On Bret Hart 'Error' Widely Reported

WWE.com has a video posted online regarding a mortar attack that occurred nearby where they were preparing their "Tribute To The Troops" taping in Baghdad. I believe this is the same one that was widely reported in mainstream news late last week. I am a bit surprised that WWE was not mentioned in the reports since they were so close to the situation. Regardless how we feel about WWE's disrespect outweighing the respect 10 - 1, their visits to Iraq have to be praised. Takes alot of b***s just for the troops to be there, let alone performers.

TNA posted the following press release regarding MLB stars at Sunday's Turning Point PPV:

Baseball Greats Brawl At TNA Wrestling Show

Major League Baseball’s most hated player, A.J. Pierzynski, picked a fight with the 2006 World Series Most Valuable Player, David Eckstein.

Pierzynski on Sunday (12-10-06) in Orlando, Fla., got into a shoving match with Eckstein at a Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling pay-per-view. Also in the ring, Pierzynski’s pal Dale Torborg, the strength and conditioning coach for the Chicago White Sox and the son of former major leaguer Jeff Torborg, slugged Eckstein’s brother, Rick, a minor league coach.

“Dale and I were a little upset that they got the big entrance, yet we just got introduced from the (seats). Plus, they got the (entrance) music and we didn’t,” Pierzynski said. “It was a little disappointing. We got a little jealous, so we took out our frustration on them.”

Torborg and Pierzynski tore up Eckstein’s new inspirational children’s book, Have Heart, which led to the pull-apart.

“As a kid, I always enjoyed wrestling. All that went down, wow, that was unbelievable. Things got a bit heated with A.J.,” Eckstein said. “When you step into the ring, you’re stepping outside your comfort zone. I can handle playing in front of 45,000 fans, but going out in front of the TNA Wrestling fans who always want to see action, I was nervous.”

Ok this one is cute to poke fun at. A certain individual on another site is reporting everywhere about a 'major WWE error' on WWE.com. I wasn't going to mention it until I received an email from the idiot himself.

His claim is that on WWE.com, they are advertising a 1993 match between The Brooklyn Brawler and Bret Hart. He then notes that WWE made a huge error because WWE said Bret 'was a future Hall of Famer, but last I checked, he was just inducted in the class of 2006.'

Sorry to have to break it to this Supernerd, but when WWE wrote 'future Hall of Famer', they were referencing Bret Hart at the time the match took place in 1993. He wasn't a Hall of Famer yet at that time.
