(First, my comments on the matter. It is a great idea to have these 3 entities get together to offer a nice package for residents and tourists of Toronto. However, didn't Toronto a few days ago go back on High Alert Status because of the spread of the Sars Virus? Granted, this events are not for at least another month. However, with the high alert right now, I think eliminating the Sars problem in Toronto, would generate alot more revenue for Toronto than discounted prices on events.). TORONTO, On., May 27, 2003 – World Wrestling Entertainment™, the Toronto Indy and the Toronto Blue Jays have combined forces for the first time to offer an unprecedented TOGETHER FOR TORONTO Campaign for July to pump up interest in the city’s summer tourism activities and to encourage people in the GTA to enjoy Toronto.

Representatives from the three organizations announced their TOGETHER FOR TORONTO package today at Wayne Gretzky’s Restaurant on Blue Jays Way. WWE™ Superstar Edge™, and Toronto Blue Jays center fielder Vernon Wells were on hand for the announcement of the ticket package that includes a WWE™ SmackDown!™ televised event, a Blue Jays game, and the Toronto Indy.

The TOGETHER FOR TORONTO package features a ticket for WWE™ SmackDown!™ (#1 ranked regularly scheduled program on The Score in Canada, [Thursdays, 7PM ET] and on UPN in the U.S. [Thursdays, 8PM ET]), live from the Air Canada Centre on Tuesday, July 8, a ticket to the July 9 or 10 Blue Jays game and a 3-day General Admission ticket to the Toronto Indy taking place July 11-13.
