WWE Releases Sabu; Raw, Smackdown Ratings; WWE Aussie One Night Stand
WWE.com has noted on their website that WWE has released Sabu. It is no secret that Sabu has been wanting out of his contract for several months. Today he was granted his request to be released.
WWE thought they were going to hot shot Smackdown's rating by spoiling for fans that Edge won the Heavyweight Title. Their thinking is that fans would then tune in to see how it went down.
Smackdown's rating is in, and spoiling the title change didn't affect viewership at all. Smackdown scored only a 2.6 rating.
Raw for 5/14/2007 scored a 3.6 rating off of hours 3.5 and 3.7. That is consistant with the last 2 weeks of Raw.

Perth will be World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE's) only stop in Australia on this tour. With more than 330 Live Events per year and an expanding roster of Superstars, the line-up is subject to change.
Each World Wrestling Entertainment live event brings fans up close and personal with the Superstars.
