WWE Removes Atlas Security From All Future Velocity ECW Events

Friday we discussed how WWE continues to eliminate the authenticity of how and what ECW was all about. ECW never had to advertise 'extreme rules'. Removing Stephen DeAngelis as the announcer. Having squash matches involving ECW stars. No interraction with the fans.

Now you can add Atlas Security to the list.

I had mentioned Friday that once the house show took place Saturday, we would report the latest Extreme Faux Pa on behalf of World Wrestling Entertainment.

3e6r.net can confirm that last week, WWE contacted Atlas Security and told them that their services 'were no longer needed'. They are gone from all future ECW events.

Putting the 'authenticity' talk aside, Atlas Security were not only a fixture in ECW, they are damn good with handling security issues. Fans were very intimidated with their presence, and they were respected by ECW fans (and indy wrestling fans).

You can thank Kevin Dunn for this idiotic move. Then again, maybe it is a smart move....

If ECW fans and wrestling fans do not show up at future events, there's no need for security eh?

I'm counting down the days when Vince McMahon shows up on Sci-Fi and makes Paul Heyman join his 'Kiss My Ass' club.
