WWE / Sci-Fi, TNA / Spike TV Negotiating New TV Deals; Foley Chest Injury; Raw Preemption
Multichannel News reports that WWE and Sci-Fi are negotiating to extend the TV deal ECW, which expires the end of this month. From what we are hearing, the main item holding up a new deal has to do with advertising revenue.
It was also reported that Sci Fi Channel will air WWE Monday Night Raw Aug. 28th live @ 9PM due to the USA Network having their US Open tourney. If you miss Raw on Sci-Fi next Monday not to worry. The USA Network will replay Raw the same night @ 11PM.
Dave Meltzer and The Wrestling Observer Newsletter report that negotiations are underway between TNA and Spike TV on extending Impact to 2 hours. If you've been listening to our webcasts, you know our feelings about a Monday Night special. Hopefully that comes to flourish.
Mick Foley needed 25 stiches to close a huge open wound on his chest last night. Yes he had some cuts in his head last night, but the big gash was on his chest.
