I received my IN Demand cable guide for the month of August earlier today. Interesting enough, there is an ad for 2 hours of NWATNA for $9.95. Next to it, they show the ad for Best of XPW Vol One. It is showing an airtime of 58 minutes at a price of $14.95.

I dont want to criticize the price. However, I am almost certain this video is going to be a video montage of the product, not full length matches. Shouldnt the video be called "Highlights of XPW Volume One"?

Anyway, for a non-XPW fan curious to check it out, I say go for it. Funny thing though, is that XPW is offering 2 free DVDs for anyone that orders it. To me, that cheapens their product by offering incentives to order the PPV. Even though it only costs them about $5 to make, the retail value of the freebies is more than the PPV price.

Thanks to James Blanchard, 3e6r.net reader for this info:

Warrior (the former Jim Hellwig) was on C-SPAN2 this morning, delivering a truly rambling promo to the Young Conservative Students' Conference. I don't know how long he spoke, but I tuned in at 11:40 and he went on until 12:25. His statement sounded essentially like one of his website tirades, only without the profanity and the usual Warriorisms (destrucity, foke, etc. -- although he did say something about "actualizing your potential"). I don't exaggerate when I say I heard the word "philosophy" in excess of 100 times. He was purpotedly speaking on conservatism but kept veering into discussions about Ayn Rand (whom he called "brilliant and stupid") and such. He also said something about "trees and dogs who take their fun in peeing on them". Afterwards the hostess said there would be another session with him in which he would take questions "tonight", so maybe that will be aired later. Very entertaining overall, and I couldn't believe someone decided to put him on TV.

We never reported this on the site because I didnt consider this a news story. However since a few have asked me to post it, here you go.

Friday night, someone was surfing the Ticketmaster website and typed in "WCW" in the search box. Believe it or not, Ticketmaster had a WCW Wrestling event scheduled for Jan 1st 2004. The next day though, the event was taken down. The official comment was that it was a typographical error.

For anyone asking, the show posted was never an actual show scheduled, and a faux pa on someone's part.

Thanks for reading.
