XPW APRIL 19TH PITTSBURGH SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED
Posted by

If you heard our hotline report Tuesday night, we reported the story about Extreme Associates, XPW's parent company raided by the FBI.

I know that many sites reported it as well, but myself and Georgianne Makropolous were the only two people online that spoke about how this will DIRECTLY affect XPW in many ways. On the hotline Tuesday night, we warned everyone not to be surprised if the show for Pittsburgh is cancelled next Saturday 4/19. In addition, XPW paid much of their expenses out of the Extreme Associates accounts. Shane Douglas, over and over, wanted to seperate XPW from EA which was the right idea. Shane Douglas, alone with many wrestlers, did not want XPW to always be considered "A Porn Owned Company". However, when management is the one that pays the bills, and continued to use EA's checkbook. There really is not much then that Shane could do.

Now the Pittsburgh show is cancelled. We broke the story about NY's May 16th show was cancelled. The proposed shows for Philly on May 17th, and Pittsburgh for May 18th were dropped quicker than a porno star's pants.

Here is the statement XPW issued on their website:

WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE XPW SHOW SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 19TH IN PITTSBURGH HAS BEEN CANCELLED. REFUNDS MAY BE OBTAINED AT THE POINT OF PURCHASE LATER THIS WEEK. DETAILS WILL BE FORTHCOMING ABOUT THE RESCHEDULED DATE. WE THANK OUR FANS FOR THEIR SUPPORT. XPWRESTLING.COM WILL HAVE A FULL UPDATE ON THE SITUATION THIS WEEKEND.

As of this writing, noone from XPW has contacted Ticketmaster about the cancellation. Ticketmaster is still selling tickets for the event. I figured that the GENERAL MANAGER OF EAST COAST OPERATIONS would be the one responsible for handling this matter. I tried tonight twice to reach him for comment, but he didnt answer his phone.

Maybe he's busy brushing his teeth.

Anyway, XPW should be issuing an explanation as to why the cancellation shortly. It is interesting that the FBI made their move on April 8th. The warrants the FBI served have a 10 day window. Which means that they can visit EA as many times as they want, as much as they want from April 8 to April 18th. In addition, the owners and management from Extreme Associates, cannot leave California. Sorry wrestling fans, the people that own and run Extreme Associates, also run XPW. So basically, even if management wanted to still book the show, they would only be able to leave for PA on the morning of the show.

This manager is not involved in EA. No woman would dare go near the stench. This manager could run the Pittsburgh show himself. Then again, maybe not.

The fact that XPW is not allowing other individuals to head up the PA instead, show should show you that this is more than just management simply being "detained" in CA. Quite a few people received bounced checks recently (and not just wrestlers). This cancellation may be alot more than the raid. Personally I believe that since they had $$$ problems already, they need to divert funds now towards legal fees. And trust me, they cannot bounce checks to lawyers.

People that know me, understand that I want XPW to be successful more than anyone else here in NY. My beef is with only one person there. Let's hope that whether EA was guilty of the FBI charges or not, they can get past the matter.

Thanks for reading.
