Vice President Al Gore and Governor George W. Bush should not
accept the Smackdown Challenge. If Vince McMahon and the WWF is
really interested in their fans voting this fall they should
drop the whole Smackdown bit and instead encourage fans to get
informed. To imply that "the fans voice will be ignored" if
the candidates do not appear on WWF TV is simply ridiculous.
It is time for wrestling fans to realize this stunt for what it
really is. This is nothing more than a press relations game by
the WWF.
We believe that voting is important. Every single US citizen
should cast his or her ballot in November. But if the WWF is
going to insult our intelligence by assuming we watch nothing
outside of professional wrestling.. well maybe we need to lay
the smackdown on them!

[WCW RELEASED JUVENTUD GUERRERA]
1Wrestling.com's Buck Woodward reports today that Juventud
Guerrera has been released by WCW. The action was taken after
Guerrera was arrested during the Australian tour over the week-
end. In a report yesterday we detailed the events leading up to
the arrest. Guerrera has been in trouble with the authorities
before and apparently WCW feels that he is a liability to the
company. Juventud had signed a new contract with WCW last week.
[ECW AND TNN GETTING NASTY]
ECW legal counsel Stephen Stern issued a press release earlier
this morning on the ECW/TNN situation. Mr. Stern stated that
TNN participated in the "cannibalization of the ECW product".
This situation, according to Stern, was to be handled outside
the court system but TNN decided to make it a public matter.
[KEVIN NASH TO HAVE SURGERY]
According to a report by the Essential Wrestling Newsletter,
Kevin Nash will have surgery on his knee following the WCW tour
of Australia. The nagging injury has kept Nash on the sideline
or in minimal action for months. The EWN report stated that he
wanted to give the Australian fans something for their money
before taking the time off. He should miss several weeks of
action although probably staying on as his role of Coach Nash.

[CHRIS JERICHO'S BAND TO BE ON MTV]
It can now be confirmed, according to MTV Chris Jericho's band,
Fozzy Osbourne, will be performing on the October 29th edition
of WWF Heat. The band will be in house performing at least two
songs during the program. Fozzy has played several small venues
mainly around Chris Jericho's schedlue. They have a CD due out
